Haw Wood Farm is a popular and award-winning caravan and camping site, situated on the edge of the stunning Dunwich Forest and within walking or cycling distance of the Suffolk Coast.
Following a failure in the site’s plumbing and sewerage systems, the bathroom block and site shop required a complete refit and refurbishment. To begin, all tiling and plaster were removed, stripping the walls back to the brickwork. During this process, structural movement cracks consistent with drying-out damage were uncovered, which were promptly addressed. New flooring was then laid as part of the refurbishment.
Further investigations revealed the need for a full bathroom refit. After replastering and tiling, new cubicles, vanity units, and sanitaryware were installed, ensuring the bathrooms were modernised to a high standard.
In addition to the bathroom block, the site shop, food preparation area, and laundry were fully refitted, with new floors and wall fittings, enhancing their functionality and appeal.
Crucially, the structural issues and cubicle concerns were identified early, allowing these additional works to be seamlessly incorporated into the project without impacting the timeline. The refurbished buildings were delivered on schedule, featuring a high-quality finish that meets the needs of visitors and maintains the reputation of Haw Wood Farm as a premier destination.
