Flats, Great Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth Borough Council purchased five vacant flats and engaged MS Oakes to carry out a full refurbishment, with a quick turnaround to make the properties ready for rental.

Before work could commence, we safely removed and disposed of all asbestos-containing materials from the properties. The refurbishment included replacing kitchens, sanitaryware, external windows (where required), and undertaking a complete electrical rewire. Once the major works were completed, we carried out a full redecoration of each flat.

Carpentry and redecoration were handled by our skilled in-house team, while other elements, such as the electrical rewiring, were subcontracted to one of our trusted, experienced partners.

The project was completed on time and within budget, allowing the client to quickly rent out the properties and minimize the period they were unavailable for use.
