Weston Hall, a large Grade II listed building located near Beccles, is the remaining part of a 16th-century mansion, the rest of which was demolished in 1821 following a fire. The building retains many distinguished architectural features that required careful preservation and restoration, demanding a high-quality finish throughout.
The refurbishment works included the creation of an en-suite shower room and toilet, along with an adjacent cupboard built off the existing timber floor. Works were also carried to an existing bathroom and dressing room including relevelling and soundproofing of the timber floor. The ensuite and bathroom walls were covered with HardieBacker board and tiled and new sanitary fixtures, plumbing, and electrical installations were provided.
Work was also carried out to some of the windows. The original bathroom window was replaced with a larger hardwood window, requiring associated masonry works and other windows were also refurbished as part of the project.
Following completion of the above works, replastering and decoration were completed throughout the affected areas.
Masonry and carpentry work were carried out by our skilled in-house team, while electrical and mechanical installations, as well as decoration and tiling, were subcontracted to our trusted, experienced partners.
The project was completed successfully, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
