Northgate Hospital, Great Yarmouth

This was a significant demolition project at a working hospital. Our scope of work included the demolition of several old hospital wards, removal of debris and foundations, and preparing the site for future construction. Additionally, we were tasked with removing connections between the demolished buildings and those that were to remain, ensuring that the remaining structures were securely restored.

The project was carried out within the grounds of a fully operational hospital, with several buildings still in use by both staff and the public and our facilities located within the hospital car park. This meant special attention was required to maintain ongoing services and ensure safe access for all.

Given the potential for discovering hidden asbestos during the demolition process, strict precautions and careful management were essential to safeguard the health and safety of everyone on-site.

Despite these challenges, we successfully completed the project on time, with minimal disruption to hospital operations, and maintained safe access for both staff and patients throughout the works.
