This project involved significant alterations and an extension to the existing village hall, aimed at modernising the facility and improving its functionality. The works included replacing the original uninsulated roof, upgrading windows and doors, and adding new storerooms, changing rooms, toilets, and an office/meeting room. Additional car parking spaces were also created to enhance accessibility.
This project highlights our flexibility and ability to adapt to the client’s changing requirements. The project evolved significantly over the course of the works, with the client introducing various changes. Early in the process, a major layout adjustment was requested, while a mid-project request to change the heating system required a partial redesign. We fully costed and planned all proposed changes before implementation, enabling the client to effectively manage their budget and assess potential impacts on timelines.
During construction, we collaborated with a specialist contractor to facilitate the installation of solar panels on the roof, to improve sustainability.
To minimise disruption to the community, we implemented comprehensive noise and dust control measures, ensuring that events and activities in and around the hall could continue uninterrupted.
The project was completed successfully, meeting the client’s budgetary constraints and delivery timelines. The upgraded hall, with its enhanced facilities and sustainable features, ensures that it will remain a valued hub for the community for years to come.
